← HA Docker Backup

Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 4, 2026

HA Docker Backup is a personal, noncommercial backup workflow used by its owner to safeguard a home automation server. It is not a publicly offered product.

Information accessed

The utility uses Google OAuth and the Google Drive API with the drive.file scope. This allows it to access backup files and folders it creates, and files explicitly made accessible to the app. It does not request Gmail, Google Photos or general Google account profile data.

How information is used

The utility creates, uploads, lists, checks and removes old backup archives in the owner's Google Drive account according to the owner's retention settings. The archives can contain Docker configuration, smart-home network settings, device information and credentials from the owner's own server. OAuth credentials are stored locally in the owner's rclone configuration, not on this website.

Storage and sharing

Backup files are stored on devices controlled by the owner and in the owner's Google Drive. Data is not sold, used for advertising or shared with third parties by this utility. Google processes files and authorization data under its own service terms and privacy policies. This informational website does not accept uploads or display backup files.

Retention and deletion

The owner controls the backup schedule and retention. Old archives may be removed automatically according to the configured retention policy. The owner can also delete files directly in Google Drive and revoke the app's access in Google account security settings.

Security

Google OAuth is used for authorization. Access tokens, refresh tokens and backup contents are not published on this website. As with any backup tool, archives may contain sensitive configuration and should be stored securely.
